It’s that back to school time again, which means it’s also the “where do I find nutritious lunches and snacks to pack” time. We say get your kids involved and let them help out: make it fun for the kids and let them play with their food for a change. Why not try combining crafts while teaching some basic cooking skills?

Here’s how:

Gather a few simple ingredients (lettuce or cucumber can work.) After hard boiling the eggs together with the kids, let them be creative chefs. They can make flowers, sailboats or even funny looking creatures. The sky’s the limit! And what fun for them to open their lunch box and show off a healthy “creation.” Continue reading →
